new this morning... a motorcyclist is seriously hurt after a hit-and-run on milwaukee's south side. side.it happened around nine last night... near west mitchell and north "muskego ave" avenue."cbs 58's ?kyle aevermann? joins us live from the scene...with details on the search for the driver responsiblekyle? the intersection is back open, but police had it several hours last night as they conducted their investigation. police say a man in his 20's was riding his motorcylce when he went in the far right lane trying to get around cars and ignored the signal at the intersection, the motorcylist was in the intersection when he was hit by a silver suv. police say the suv stopped briefly and then fled the

making news around the nation...enraged protestors marched the streets and filled the lobby at los angeles police department headquarters on behalf of carnell snell. ... an 18-year-old shot and killed by police on saturday in south los angeles. authorities say officers chased snell to the backyard of a home when they saw the teen take out a handgun and turn in the direction of the officers. investigators said they found a handgun that was

six shots at the teen who was hit twice. u-s attorney general "loretta lynch" will join the dallas police department and the mayor today... to lead a "national night out." she's in dallas to launch a week-long initiative across the country. national "community policing week"... aims to kick-start better dialogue between law enforcement and communities. dallas was struck by tragedy in july... when five police officers were killed in an ambush. ?yesterday's? discussion... was a youth forum--- bringing together students and officer cadets. (loretta lynch, u.s.attorney general) "this is commun signed a proclamation declaring it so. he and i talk about these issues of the breakdown of trust between law enforcement and communities that we serve, quite often. and he's expressed a lot of concern about that, and he's visited different communities as well. lynch also plans to meet with dallas-area ?police chiefs?... and families of the fallen officers. police have arrested a 13-year- old girl.. accused of

investigators say the girl used social media to make contact with the person. person.police say they received a tip about the plot.. which led them to the girl.police say they checked on the teacher who was targeted in the threat... and she is aware of the situation and is not hurt. the teenage girl has been charged with one count of threatening to kill by electronic message. 3 some high schools around washington d-c are ramping up security after creepy "clown" threats.one school in prince george's county maryland is expected to re-open today after closing yesterday... social media.the threats were made by users with the word "clown" in their twitter handles.. or used pictures of clowns.in fairfax county virginia.. police say they received online threats to public schools.. but determined they were not credible. there have been a number of "clown" sightings and threats around the country. many of those have proven to be hoaxes. congress is still looking for answers... as to why the cost of epi-pens has skyrocketed. skyrocketed.in a letter to the mylan c-e-o--- the top members of the house "oversight committee"... called on the

information on epi-pen's ?profit margins.?the ceo testified before the committee last month--- saying mylan makes about 50 dollars per pen on the ?two-pack?--- which costs a little more than 600 dollars.but the washington post reports... the ?pre-tax? epi-pen profit is more like 80 dollars per pen.mylan has been under fire for raising the price of the epi-pen "two- pack"... by about 500 dollars since 2007. 3 now to our campaign 2016 coverage...rigging the election. the idea has been brought up during the presidential election... but th security says hackers have tried it. voter registration systems in 20 states have been the focus of attempted security breaches in the run-up to the presidential election.this, as the u.s. increasingly warns that hackers abroad may try to undermine confidence in the november vote.dhs says some 23 states have requested help in protecting their election systems. 3 a week after the first presidential debate... a new poll shows hillary clinton has opened a five-point lead on

3 new this morning ...milwaukee police are investigating a robbery at a wal-mart on milwaukee's northeast side. 3 it happened around 1:40 this morning... at the wal-mart on holton and capitol. capitol.police say... four men te ?implied? they were armed.no weapons were actually shown. the men took ?electronic merchandise? and left.no one was hurt.police continue to search for the suspects. the two waukesha girls charged with stabbing a classmate to please the fictional character known as 'slender man'... are due in court today. anissa weier and morgan geyser will be in waukesha county court this afternoon. cbs 58's julie parise is live at the court house with our look ahead. julie?
